We have been socialized to base our value on our labor and titles. We've been told we always need a check-point plan, and when it comes to rest…we must earn it! But in this episode, frolic facilitator, global equity strategist, and connoisseur of all things excellence, Cici Battle, is here to debunk these myths and remind us that we are worth so much more than the bare minimum!
So how do we change what we think we deserve? And how do we prioritize rest and play, or frolic culture, in our lives? Tune in to your Triggered hosts and Cici Battle to find out!
KEY POINTS:
QUOTABLES:
“What are you doing? I'm frolicking. And that meant I was chasing my hope, my wholeness. I was chasing my joy, and I wasn't chasing any accolades. I wasn't chasing any visibility. If it felt good in my spirit, that's what I did.”

I loved Dani views of this topic because I grew up in church also , but as an adult I figured out for myself that we truly should have a relationship with God and I listen to Mike Todd a preacher from Tulsa and he also states same thing. Belief and relationship with God doesn’t require rituals or any of that. I don’t let anything that I’ve seen in the church sway me from my belief in God. I believe in God not man or a religion. God does want us to fellowship with others but God is everywhere! I turn on my worship music all the time at home, in the car etc. it doesn’t require us to be in church because we can have church anywhere
This podcast talks about topics that are absolutely taboo, but in a way that invites you to grow and learn with them. They don’t pretend to know everything, ANDDD bring in people we can all learn from! Subscribe now, follow now, and listen to every word! This podcast is EVERYTHING!!
These ladies talk about real, relatable content. Specifically the Villainous Victims episode. And it’s true…we are all villains in someone else’s story, which can be tough to admit. But necessary to understand.
I appreciate the rawness and transparency. Your authenticity is much needed and appreciated. It’s good to acknowledge our triggers and talk them through. Absolutely love it!!!
