If you have followed Jess’s healing journey over the last years, you know your girl has got a little bit of trauma. And no longer wanting to live her life through a lens of pain, she did EVERYTHING to try to change that, from Reiki to hypnosis to therapy. But nothing could have prepared her for the things she uncovered through EDMR.
So in this episode, founder of Therapeutic Serendipity and licensed clinical social worker Heather Holop, joins the show to discuss what EDMR is, why it might be right for you, and how her own journey is one of the reasons she’s so great at what she does.
KEY POINTS:
QUOTABLES:
“It's always something deeper, but they just usually want to work on the stuff that's present. The stuff that’s, I call it, the crisis of the week. I call it chasing cows.”
“Your brain stays so focused on the trauma that it doesn't like the truth. And the thought that we develop about ourselves in those moments is actually what is painful. It's not the memory, because the memory only exists in your mind.”

Listening to this episode made me view a lot of things different. As humans we sometime need the motivation form others or just this inspiring words. Or sometimes we just need to hear someone else story. Listening to both Jessica and Chris story gave me the motivation I needed to get back in my grind and do what I feel so patiently about. I would suggest if you have listened to her podcast that you start doing so! Keep up the good work girl! 😘😘
I fell in love with Jessica’s podcast. Her guest interviews are so great. My favorite episodes are her 1 year podcast anniversary, which listed all her hurdles and things she learned about her self that made it super relatable to the journey I am embarking on. Her partner interview about your significant other support you in business was so real and put into words what I wanted and how my relationship is with my significant other about is going into business together and supporting each other. Great inspiration!!
This podcast a must listen for sure! Everything I’ve heard so far is inspiring and so satisfying. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! Keep it up! 🙏🏻

My favorite episode was the one about supporting your spouse( which I listened to with my husband) but it really helped me and my husband understand each other goals and how important it is to always support each other no matter . Being that I was so inspired by this last episode I will be sure to not miss another one !!!! Thank you so much for the motivation Jessica!
