Twenty pounds ago, I was where you are right now. I let food dictate a good or bad day. I counted calories, “budgeted” for booze, and never skipped a sweat sesh. Like you, I was taught that weight loss was about less food and more movement. But that didn’t work because my metabolism was trashed.
I stopped viewing my body as a math equation ( - diet and + exercise) and started treating it like a biology project. Instead of taking anything away, I added to my health with the six pillars of the Metabolic Ecosystem - blood sugar control, muscle, movement, stress management, good sleep, and a healthy gut. The result? Sustainable weight loss and actual food freedom.
