Brian Bell earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida and his B.S. in Physics at Stetson University. During his education, his research focused on optimizing the functional properties of polymer microfibers and nanofibers for smart filters, sensors, and flexible electronics. He is a Florida native who is working to advance his local community through education and innovation.

Currently, Brian Bell teaches courses in engineering technology with a focus on biomedical engineering technology (also known as healthcare technology management). Over the years Brian Bell has worked with biomeds, educators, and technicians to create content and resources for the biomedical engineering technology learning community.
